It’s That Time of Year Again

Senior pictures! This time, I had two roles- both of photographer and proud big sis! My little brother Nick graduated from high school recently, and these are some of his senior pics. These pictures were fun and, since I know that Nick is a ham, we got some good shots. We even incorporated a few of his favorite things in some of the shots.. call it the flair of pokemon, nintendo, and nerf guns.. They’re up in the photography section..

Every year, Hobby Lobby takes out a full page ad in celebration of Easter in every state in which they are located. I was asked to participate in submitting ad concepts based on that tradition, and here are a few unselected but solid ads…

If ever there was an occasion to use lens flares, the ascension of Christ is it.

With all the snow that has been hitting the Oklahoma, I am longing for warmer days, but if this precipitation persists, this beautiful typographic Mary Poppins umbrella would be practically perfect in every way! WOW! (If only it were for sale!)

…It is the work of one Leen Sadder, and just one part of her very cool in her MFA project. Read more about it here… spit spot!

As a huge fan of hand drawn typography, when I came across illustrator Linzie Hunter’s work via the Behance Network, I was very inspired! Her personal website is equally as inspiring and features a lot of her very unique work. I found these penguin book covers especially charming:

I happily updated the photography section of the website this evening with photos from a couple of recent shoots! The Kenner siblings (brothers! I uploaded the mandatory ’slow-motion-fist-fight’ picture that confirms it )…

Hi all!
Just a quick update on a few of my recent photoshop experiments!

I hand drew the text! I am a huge fan of hand drawn type, and so this one was a lot of fun..

with this one I wanted to refer to creation- 7 days, galaxies, a bunch of painterly, separate strokes coming together to create something beautiful from nothing contained within the roundness of a complete circle.
